We worked with two cellists named Hillary Smith and Mauro Basilio to achieve a sound that both highlights the tragedy of the victim\u2019s perspective and the horror of the crimes committed. Hillary\u2019s lyrical playing was a perfect fit for the victims\u2019 families and Mauro\u2019s \u201cprepared cello\u201d captured the&nbsp;brutality of John Wayne Gacy\u2019s crimes. We used everything from motors plucking the strings to a plastic cup wedged in between the body and bridge of Mauro\u2019s cello.
